Jaehyeong Park, 21, Yoseop  Jeon, 18 and, Kiwook Seok, 20, were all killed in a fiery car accident in Irvine. According to a KTLA news report, the incident occurred early morning on Nov. 22 on Harvard Avenue near University Drive. When officials arrived, they found a vehicle smoldering from what appeared to be a fire as a result of the crash. The car had crashed into a tree and was completely wrapped around the tree. A 20-year-old man died in a fiery car accident in Newport Beach after the car he was driving burst into flames after slamming into an Army-Navy surplus store on the night of Nov. 17. According to a report in the Daily Pilot, officials said the crash occurred at West Coast Highway and 61st Street. Police said an Infiniti G35 had crashed into a corner of the South Coast Army and Navy Surplus store. Continue reading →

Gracie and Edward Contreras, 55, were killed in a West Covina car accident and their 13-year-old son was injured, after a fleeing carjacking suspect crashed into their car Oct. 12. According to a KTLA news report, the couple was on their way to their home with Gracie Contreras’s son when a man fleeing the police crashed into their vehicle. Both the adults were ejected from the vehicle. Edward Contreras was pronounced dead at the scene while his wife died a short time later at s hospital. Continue reading →

An 88-year-old woman has died from injuries she sustained more than a week ago in a two-vehicle car accident in Huntington Beach. According to a news report in the Los Angeles Times, the woman had been transported to a local hospital after complaining of neck and back pain. The incident occurred the afternoon of Aug. 24. The elderly woman was behind the wheel of a 2007 Toyota Camry when the collision occurred near Beach Boulevard and Cypress Drive. The Toyota sustained moderate front-end damage. Continue reading →

A worker at a construction site was injured after a car crashed into the site and knocked the worker into a 20-foot-deep hole. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the incident occurred at the intersection of State College Boulevard and Ball Road the night of July 29. The man had been performing shoring work in preparation for sewer reconstruction Anaheim fire officials said. The driver crashed into the construction site hitting some equipment. This caused the worker to fall into the hole. He suffered musculoskeletal injuries and could not get himself out, officials said. Continue reading →

Darren Kritzberger, a body shop worker, and his dog, were killed when an out-of-control SUV careened off a freeway in Beaumont and slammed into his business. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, the SUV also crashed into a motor home and other cars the morning of July 19. Police said the driver of a silver Subaru SUV lost control of his vehicle going westbound on the 10 Freeway in Beaumont. Continue reading →

Four people were killed in a fatal head-on motorcycle accident in the Modjeska Canyon area of Orange County on July 7. A man and his dog have died after being injured in a car crash, which officials said, was caused by two street racers along Huntington Drive in San Marino the morning of July 4. According to a KTLA news report, police arrested two 17-year-old males on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter in connection with the crash, which took place at Huntington Drive and Kenilworth Avenue. A Long Beach car accident involving two vehicles including one driven by a 90-year-old Los Alamitos woman, has left a 91-year-old man dead and eight other people injured. According to a KTLA news report, the car accident occurred the morning of June 27 along Long Beach Boulevard, just south of 44th Street. Police say a 90-year-old woman was at the wheel of a 2015 Kia Rio with 91-year-old Howard Schaack riding as a passenger. The woman failed to yield to oncoming traffic when she pulled out onto the boulevard from a driveway. Continue reading →

A driver who seemed to have been distracted by her pet Yorkie jumping inside her car crashed into the patio of a home in Orange the night of May 1. According to a news report in the Orange County Register, no one was injured in the crash at a townhome complex at 5825 Creekside Avenue. There was minor damage to the fencing closing off the home’s patio and to the car’s front end. Police said the small dog jumped down from her lap to her feet and kept her from being able to apply the brakes. The black Mercedes drove into a carport and onto a hedge before it hit the fence. The woman was not cited at the time for distracted driving, but police officials are not ruling out the possibility. Continue reading →
