Kelley Reid Spencer, 26, was killed and five others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Reseda. Officials say the fatal crash was caused by vehicles that were street racing. According to City News Service report, the crash occurred on the night of May 23 at Corbin Avenue and Saticoy Street in Reseda. Spencer died at the scene.
LAPD officials said Spencer, who was driving a black BMW M3, was driving northbound on Corbin Avenue, as was a black 2015 Mini Cooper convertible that was being driven by a male juvenile, whose name was not released. Aristides Guerra, 53, of Santa Ana, was killed in a Costa Mesa car accident. According to a news report in the Los Angeles Times, the fatal crash occurred the afternoon of May 9 at the intersection of Bear Street and Sunflower Avenue near South Coast Plaza. A man and a 15-year-old boy, both of who were passengers in a box truck, died in a crash early April 23 on the 101 Freeway in Sherman Oaks. According to a news report, 20-year-old Bianca Lopez was driving a 2008 Honda east on Van Nuys Boulevard when she rear-ended a 2019 Isuzu box truck.
