Brandon Kimura, 34, was killed in a car accident near the 5 Freeway in Anaheim that involved six vehicles. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal crash occurred the morning of Oct. 17 on northbound Euclid Street near the 5 Freeway when officials say, a Mercedes-Benz SUV crashed into traffic that was stopped at the intersection. A woman suffered fatal injuries in a violent car accident after a driver lost control of his SUV and plowed into a group of people dining outdoors at the Grand Century Mall in San Jose on Oct. 11. According to a report in the Mercury News, the woman was one of eight people – three women and five men – who were injured in the crash near McLaughlin Avenue and Story Road. A woman was killed in a car accident involving a large truck and several other vehicles including a Homeland Security vehicle. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, the fatal crash occurred on the morning of Sept. 29 in the southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway at Roxford Street. California Highway Patrol officials said a 7Up big-rig, a trash truck and a Homeland Security vehicle were all involved in the crash. A woman in a blue sedan was declared dead on the scene. A woman and her unborn child were fatally struck by a suspected drunk driver who was being chased by Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department deputies in Lancaster. According to a KTLA news report, the DUI suspect fled after the deadly collision, which happened shortly after deputies began chasing the individual’s Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. The crash occurred on the night of Sept. 7. Video footage captured by a freelance photographer shows both cars ended up on the sidewalk, with the pickup on its side near a traffic light, and the victim’s vehicle mangled and overturned near a fire hydrant. One person was killed and another suffered major injuries in a Lancaster car accident. According to a news report in the Antelope Valley Press, the incident occurred on the morning of Sept. 4 as two pedestrians were crossing Avenue L east of 47th Street West in the Antelope Valley. Officials say a Lake Hughes resident driving a 2012 Toyota Prius was westbound, east of 47th Street West, traveling at about 40 to 50 mph. A 72-year-old man who was driving the wrong way on the 241 Toll Road in Orange caused a multi-car crash that led to his death and injured three others. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the incident occurred on the night of Aug. 6. The man was driving a Toyota Camry north in the southbound lanes near East Santiago Canyon Road when it struck a Ford F-150 pickup truck who tried to get out of the car’s way, California Highway Patrol officials said. Two people died and a third was injured in a Fullerton rollover accident late night on Aug. 6 on the 57 Freeway in Fullerton. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, a 28-year-old woman driving a Honda Accord while going southbound, for an unknown reason, swerved to the right and crossed all lanes.
