A 60-year-old man died from his injuries suffered in a hit and run crash in Fullerton. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal crash occurred at Lemon Street and Santa Fe Avenue on the evening of Jan. 2. Police found the victim lying in the number two lane of Lemon. The initial investigation determined that the suspect vehicle, a 2015 Honda Civic, was traveling south on Lemon when it struck the pedestrian. Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital. Jose Mario Vaquero, a 60-year-old father of three, had been killed in a hit and run car accident in Echo Park. According to a KTLA news report, the crash was reported on the morning of Dec. 19 at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Douglas Street. Emergency personnel responded and pronounced Vaquero dead at the scene. Vaquero was reportedly headed to work in El Sereno when he was struck. Detectives are searching for suspects in the death of 62-year-old Jihad Muhammad who they say was dragged 13 blocks after being struck by three different hit-and-run drivers in West Adams on Thanksgiving Day. A 52-year-old Silver Lake teacher was arrested on suspicion of hitting and severely injuring a bicyclist with her car and then leaving the scene of the crash. The collision that took place on October 25th, on the 3000 block of Berkeley Avenue in Silver Lake left the bicyclist suffering from severe injuries. Joshua Madrid, 14, was killed in a Monterey Park car accident involving a hit-and-run driver. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, the incident occurred the night of Nov. 18 when the boy was crossing Atlantic Boulevard on his skateboard. Roberto Diaz, 16, who was seriously injured in a South Los Angeles hit-and-run crash three months ago, has been released from the hospital. According to KTLA News, the incident occurred Aug. 6 on Maple Avenue near East 37th Street in the Historic South-Central neighborhood of Los Angeles. An elderly woman was critically injured in a Santa Ana pedestrian accident, which officials said, involved a hit-and-run driver. According to a KTLA news report, the crash occurred in the 2500 block of North Fairview Avenue. Police from Santa Ana and Garden Grove responded to several calls and found the pedestrian down on the roadway. She was transported to a hospital with major internal injuries. Investigators are seeking the driver of a work truck, which they say struck and killed 34-year-old Miguel Gutierrez Fabian who was helping a stranded teen driver on the 91 Freeway in Cerritos early morning on Sept. 29.
