A 46-year-old man was critically injured in a San Diego car accident, which police report, was caused by a hit-and-run driver. According to a news report in The San Diego Union-Tribune, the serious injury pedestrian accident occurred the night of January 3, 2011 on Broadway in El Cajon. The police have not yet located witnesses to the accident and are still looking for the driver who fled the scene. According to California Highway Patrol’s 2008 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS), four people were killed and 43 were injured in El Cajon pedestrian accidents.
