Cassidy Korenaga, 24, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Fullerton the evening of September 14, 2016. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal motorcycle crash occurred at the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue and Parks Drive near D. Russell Parks Junior High School. The motorcycle collided with a silver Chevy Suburban at the intersection. Korenaga was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Suburban was uninjured. Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be involved. No arrests or citations were made pending an official investigation.

Officials are searching for a hit-and-run driver who they say struck and killed a motorcyclist in Reseda on August 24, 2016. According to an NBC Los Angeles news report, the fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Vanowen Street and Tampa Avenue. Police say the driver of a truck was making a left turn onto Vanowen and failed to yield to the oncoming motorcyclist.

The truck driver left after the crash heading west on Vanowen. The motorcyclist, a man in his late teens or early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are looking for the driver of a white stake bed truck with significant damage on the passenger side of the vehicle. The city is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the hit-and-run driver. Anyone with information is asked to call LAPD at 818-644-8000.

Enrique Alvarado-Cervantes, 26, died in a motorcycle accident in Azusa after a pickup truck rear-ended him on the 210 Freeway just west of Vernon Avenue. According to a news report in The San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Alvarado-Cervantes was riding a 2000 Suzuki GSX-R in the fast lane when traffic ahead came to a sudden stop. A 71-year-old man was driving directly behind the motorcycle in a 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision.

The Dodge slammed into the motorcycle and a Ford pickup truck that was ahead ejecting the motorcyclist onto the roadway. The force of the collision pushed the Ford into a Lexus that was ahead as well. Alvarado-Cervantes was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge pickup suffered injuries including a broken wrist. The Ford’s driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the driver of the Lexus escaped injury. No arrests or citations were reported pending an official investigation.

Officials are still looking for a driver who they say fled the scene of a fatal Orange County motorcycle accident, which killed 55-year-old Drew Ketter of Midway City and seriously injured a woman. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal motorcycle accident occurred the afternoon of August 1, 2016 near Santiago Canyon and Falcon Street in Modjeska Canyon. Navpreet Singh, 19, was killed in an Orange County motorcycle accident after he was struck by a vehicle that veered off its lane. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal crash occurred on Santiago Canyon Road near Silverado Canyon Road on July 18, 2016. California Highway Patrol officials said Singh was traveling south on Santiago Canyon Road approaching School Road when a Honda Accord driven by 25-year-old Jose Briseneo going north on Santiago Road veered right into Singh’s path.

Singh was ejected from his motorcycle, which was traveling at about 50 mph and landed in a dirt patch on the highway’s shoulder. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Briseneo’s vehicle continued driving until it struck another vehicle, a southbound Nissan. No citations or arrests were reported.

James Hogg, 37, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Anaheim after officials said he lost control and crashed. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal crash occurred along the westbound 91 Freeway at Tustin Avenue the morning of July 1, 2016. California Highway Patrol officials said Hogg appears to have veered right just before the Tustin overpass, hitting the curb and losing control before the bike ran up and embankment and both slammed into the overpass.

Based on preliminary investigations, officials do not believe any other vehicles played a role in this incident. Passing motorists reported the downed motorcycle around 7:30 a.m., but Orange County Coroner’s investigators place the time of Hogg’s death around 1 a.m. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact CHP at 949-559-7888.

Arturo Zamarripa, 33, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Long Beach involving a vehicle that was making a left turn. According to a City News Service report, the fatal crash occurred the night of June 22, 2016 at the intersection of Seventh Street and Newport Avenue. Police said Zamarripa was riding a 2008 Harley-Davidson east on Seventh Street when it collided with a 2000 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 70-year-old Long Beach man who was going west on Seventh Street and turning left to go south on Newport Avenue. No arrests or citations were reported. Anyone with information is asked to call Long Beach police at 562-570-7355.

Victor Webb, 23, was killed in a Laguna Niguel motorcycle accident. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal accident occurred the night of June 20, 2016 at the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Niguel Road. Webb’s motorcycle crashed with a car at the intersection. He died minutes after the crash at a local hospital. No arrests or citations were issued. Officials are still looking into the cause of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

Steven Joseph Vega, 29, was killed in a motorcycle accident in the San Fernando Valley, which officials say, involved a hit-and-run driver. According to a report in the Los Angeles Daily News, the fatal motorcycle accident occurred at the intersection of Devonshire Street and Arleta Avenue early morning on June 4, 2016. Police said the black and white 2009 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling east on Devonshire and was turning south on to Arleta Avenue when it collided with an unknown vehicle.

Vega was ejected from the motorcycle. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene and is wanted on suspicion of hit-and-run. Officials have offered a $50,000 reward to those who can provide information about the hit-and-run driver. Anyone with information is asked to call LAPD at 818-644-8000.
