A 65-year-old man was severely injured but survived after police say he was struck by a motorcyclist and another vehicle in the Highland Park area of Los Angeles. According to a KTLA news report, both the motorcyclist and the driver fled the scene and police are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to arrests. A 75-year-old man was fatally struck by a vehicle after attempting to cross an intersection in Menifee. According to a report in The Press Enterprise, police said the incident occurred the night of July 29th when the pedestrian was walking north on Laguna Vista Drive within a marked crosswalk. A motorist heading west on Rockport Road struck the pedestrian. Police said the driver had yielded for a stop sign, but proceeded through the intersection and struck the pedestrian. Marty Mannani, 64, was killed in a Mission Viejo pedestrian accident after a vehicle struck him as he was crossing a street. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the crash occurred on the morning of July 26 near the intersection of Marguerite Parkway and Alerzal. A 19-year-old man, who officials say, may have been involved in a street race was arrested the night of July 5th after striking and injuring a pedestrian who was crossing the street in Santa Ana. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred at Bristol and Myrtle streets. When police arrived at the scene, they found the man with major injuries lying in the street. Orange County Fire Authority paramedics treated him but pronounced him dead at the scene.
