Santa Ana Police Looking into Possible Bullying as Factor in 10-year-old Girl’s Suicide
Santa Ana police are investigating whether a 10-year-old girl who apparently killed herself at home was the victim of bullying. According to a KTLA news report, officers responded to the Santa Ana home after the child, Allison Wendel, was discovered dead by her 9-year-old sister the night of Oct. 13. Police said her death appeared to be a suicide and that she did not leave behind a note. Family members said her death came as a shock. Police Investigating Fatal Tour Bus Accident in Los Angeles
LAPD investigators are working to determine whether a crime occurred when a casino tour bus fled the scene where he ran over and killed a pedestrian the previous day in University Park. According to a KTLA news report, the Samho Tour & Travel bus was eventually found at a storage yard in Gardena late on Jan. 10, hours after its driver fatally struck and dragged a man near the corner of Flower Street and Adams Boulevard. 4-year-old Boy Killed in Irvine Pedestrian Accident
A 4-year-old boy suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident in Irvine Saturday night. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, Zhiyu Too was crossing the intersection at Lake Forest drive and Romano on his scooter when he was hit by a vehicle that was traveling on Lake Forest. The boy was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The boy’s parents were with him when he was struck. Additional details about the vehicle or the driver were not available. The investigation is ongoing.

Paul Walker’s Daughter Will Continue Lawsuit Against Porsche Over Auto Defect Allegations
Meadow Walker, the daughter of late “Fast and Furious” star Paul Walker, has said she will move forward with her lawsuit against Porsche in spite of the automaker’s victory in court this week in a related case. According to an ABC news report, on Monday, U.S. District Judge Philip S. Gutierrez ruled that there was not enough evidence to show that the Porsche Carrera GT, which Walker’s friend Roger Rodas was driving at the time of the fatal crash that took both their lives, lacked basic safety features that could have potentially saved the two men’s lives.
Update: As of 4/8/16, a $10.1 Million settlement from the estate of Rodas has just been disclosed. The money will be placed in a trust for Meadow Walker.
Laguna Beach Car Accident Causes Major Injuries
Two people were seriously injured in a Laguna Beach car accident, which officials said, involved two vehicles. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the major injury crash occurred the night of February 8, 2016 on Coast Highway near El Morro Elementary School between a Ford Explorer and a Dodge Grand Caravan. A man and a woman in the Explorer, ages 19 and 20, were both ejected from the SUV and seriously injured.
A 10-year-old girl and a 30-year-old person in the SUV had minor injuries. A 70-year-old woman in the Caravan, who was the sole occupant of that vehicle, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries. No citations or arrests were reported. The investigation is still ongoing.

A female pedestrian was struck and seriously injured in a Costa Mesa car accident the evening of January 22, 2016. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the woman was hit at the intersection of Newport Boulevard and East 18th Street. She was transported to an area trauma center with major injuries. No citations or charges were reported. Officials are still looking into what caused this major injury collision.

Pasadena Street Intersection Car Accident Proves Fatal
Two women, ages 42 and 18, were killed in a Pasadena car accident, which occurred at a street intersection. According to a news report in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the fatal crash occurred at the intersection of El Molino Avenue and Maple Street early morning on January 12, 2012. Police say a Chevy Impala traveling north on El Molino and a Kia Optima heading west on Maple Street collided. The Kia broadsided the Impala. The driver and front passenger of the Impala died at the scene.
The vehicle’s three backseat passengers, two men and a woman, were critically injured. The 19-year-old Pasadena man driving the Kia was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Police said his passenger, a 20-year-old Pasadena man, suffered minor injuries. No one has been cited or arrested. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Neighbors say drivers often speed through the intersection where this collision occurred and said they wish the city would install dips to slow down vehicles.

Bicyclist Killed In Huntington Beach Car Accident
Nadia Silva, 31, was killed in a Huntington Beach bicycle accident early morning on September 10, 2015. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal bicycle crash occurred before sunrise.
Silva was crossing the southbound lanes on Pacific Coast Highway just south of Seapoint Street when a man driving in the same direction in a 1994 Honda Accord struck her.
