A DUI collision in San Diego resulted in serious injuries for a 50-year-old man and his 18-month old grandson. The North County Times reports that the injury pedestrian accident occurred the morning of October 18, 2010 on Lake Boulevard in Oceanside. The man was pushing his grandson in a stroller when he was struck by a Chevy SUV driven by a 17-year-old boy. The toddler sustained critical injuries while the grandfather suffered major injuries. Police have determined that the teenager was under the influence and lost control of the vehicle as he tried to pull into a driveway.
I sympathize with the victims’ family. What a horrible nightmare for them! I pray that both the man and his grandson recover quickly and completely from their serious injuries.
