Eight people, including two deputies, were injured Saturday in a Los Angeles car accident. The Contra Costa Times reported that the multiple car collision took place at about 11:47 a.m. near the Fairplex in Pomona.
Police said two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were in a patrol car headed south on White Avenue when they collided with a red Honda Civic. The driver of the patrol car then lost control and crashed into six vehicles that were entering the Fairplex.
The two deputies suffered broken femurs and were taken by medical helicopter to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center for treatment. The other people were also taken to nearby hospitals for treatment and officials said that none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
I’m thankful that such a serious car accident did not result in any fatalities. I join the friends and families of all those involved in praying that their loved ones recover soon.
