A man suffered a severe leg injury after a vehicle struck him as he was getting out of his car. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, a woman in her 50s was driving west in the 2100 block of Valencia Drive the evening of March 30, 2016 when she veered into a nearby parked car. She struck the car and a man in his 60s who was exiting his vehicle. He was transported to an area trauma center with leg injuries, but his injuries are not considered to be life threatening. The female driver was taken to an area hospital with complaints of pain. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

According to California Highway Patrol’s 2013 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS), there were eight fatalities and 842 injuries reported as a result of car accidents in the city of Fullerton.
