Two adults and two children were severely injured in a Santa Ana car accident after a Volvo sedan plowed into a group of pedestrians at a street intersection. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the major injury collision occurred the afternoon of November 3, 2011 at the intersection of Civic Center Drive and Spurgeon Street. Santa Ana police say two women were pushing strollers across Civic Center Drive when the westbound Volvo struck the pedestrians. The car landed on top of a 3-year-old girl and struck the two women as well as a 1-year-old boy. One other pedestrian, a 5-year-old boy, was not struck.

DUI Collision in Los Angeles Injures Four
Four Covina teenagers were injured in a Los Angeles car accident, which police report, involved an underage drunk driver. According to a report in The Glendale News-Press, the DUI crash occurred on Honolulu Avenue at Ocean View Boulevard in Glendale, during the early morning hours of October 30, 2011. Officials say Eric Corona, 19, was under the influence of alcohol when the vehicle he was driving struck a large tree. He was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence. Corona was not hurt but his four female passengers suffered serious injuries including dislocated hip, broken arms, a spine fracture, a compression fracture, and a cut to the head.

Pedestrian Killed in Riverside Car Accident
Robert S. Johnson, 41, was killed in a Riverside car accident after he was struck by an SUV while crossing the road, the evening of October 31, 2011. According to a news report in The Press Enterprise, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred on Arlington Avenue near Lake Street. Johnson was transported to an area hospital where he died.
