Two pedestrians, a man and a woman, were killed in an Anaheim car accident, near the Disneyland Resort, which officials say, involved an underage drunk driver. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal DUI collision occurred at a crosswalk on South Harbor Boulevard, the early morning of October 1, 2011. The driver of a Chevrolet Astro van hit the two pedestrians as they crossed the road in a crosswalk. A male teenager, whose age was given as under 18, told police he was driving the van. Both victims were fatally injured in the crash. Alcohol has been described as a factor in this collision.

A man was injured in a Los Angeles motorcycle accident when his vehicle skidded on a patch of oil on the freeway. According to a City News Service report, the injury accident occurred on the 110 Freeway, near Century Boulevard, the early morning of September 29, 2011. The victim was traveling with a number of other motorcyclists at the time of the accident. They have stated that the oil in the number two lane caused the victim to lose control of his motorcycle. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. An investigation is ongoing.

A 31-year-old bicyclist was injured in a Los Angeles car accident, the night of September 27, 2011. According to a news report in The San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the hit-and-run car accident occurred at the intersection of Walnut Street and Los Robles Avenue in Pasadena. The rider was crossing the street at the intersection when a dark-colored SUV clipped the back of the bicycle. The victim sustained facial injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further examination. Officials are still looking for the hit-and-run driver.

According to a report in the Los Angeles Daily News, the major injury collision occurred in the 1400 block of West Temple Street in Echo Park, the morning of September 27, 2011. The girls were walking in a marked crosswalk while heading to a nearby elementary school, which the two younger girls attend. The driver who hit them was apparently a parent who had dropped off her own child at school. She told officials she did not see the girls in the crosswalk. All three victims were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

A father and his two young children were injured in a Huntington Beach car accident after they were struck by a vehicle while walking in a crosswalk. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the injury collision occurred at the intersection of Central Park Drive and Edwards Street, the afternoon of September 26, 2011. Investigators say the father was holding a 1-year-old child and had another 3-year-old with him who was riding a tricycle. They were all walking across the street in a marked crosswalk when a motorist making a left turn onto northbound Edwards hit them. All three were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are looking into why the driver failed to see the pedestrians in the crosswalk.

A 25-year-old man was injured in a Whittier car accident after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. According to a report in The Whittier Daily News, the injury collision occurred near the intersection of Mar Vista Street and Valley View Avenue, the evening of September 22, 2011. Whittier police officials say, based on initial investigations, that the pedestrian walked from between two vehicles and the driver did not see him. The victim, who suffered head injuries and a possible broken leg, has been transported to an area hospital. An investigation is ongoing.
