A suspected DUI driver may have triggered a crash in Arcadia that killed a motorist in another vehicle and left the passenger seriously injured.

According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, the incident occurred the night of Aug. 6 at the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Las Tunas Driver. A male motorist was pronounced dead at the scene. Four people were hospitalized with injuries after being attacked in a recreational vehicle by a pit bull who had just given birth to a litter of puppies.

According to a KTLA news report, multiple agencies responded to an emergency call in the Santa Ana River near Wilderness Avenue. When they arrived at the scene, first responders found four victims – three men and a woman – with bite wounds.

Three people were killed and two others suffered major injuries in a three-vehicle crash in Burbank, which officials believe involved street racing.

According to an NBC Los Angeles news report, the crash occurred on the night of Aug. 3 on North Glenoaks Boulevard at Andover Drive.

When police officers and paramedics arrived at the scene, they found two males and a female who had been ejected from a silver Volkswagen. All were unconscious and not breathing, and were pronounced dead at the scene. The fourth occupant of the vehicle had sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital. A police dog trained to sniff out drugs ended up attacking a 5-year-old boy on the evening of Aug. 3 during a National Night Out event in South Pasadena.

The local event, set up to build relationships between police and the community, ended with a youngster suffering significant wounds from the dog attack, that seemed to come without warning.

Deanna Stuve, 48, was killed and her 50-year-old husband, Frederick, suffered major injuries in a Huntington Beach pedestrian accident, which officials say, involved a hit-and-run driver.

According to a KTLA news report, the husband and wife were crossing at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Newland Street the night of July 25 when the driver of a Nissan Altima ran a red light northbound on PCH and struck them.
