An 82-year-old man who was riding a mobility scooter was severely injured in a hit-and-run crash in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. According to a KTLA news report, the victim was riding his scooter on Mott Street in a marked crosswalk when a car hit him on the morning of December 4. The vehicle, which investigators say was a silver or gray Mazda CX-7, had turned left on to east Whittier Boulevard from south Mott Street when it struck the man. LAPD officials have doubled the reward for information in the search for a hit-and-run driver who they say fled after striking and fatally injuring 76-year-old Kuen Ham. According to a KTLA news report, Ham was crossing Miramar Street early morning on Nov. 23 when the driver of a Toyota Corolla making a left turn from Union Avenue struck her. Man Fatally Injured in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident
A man was killed in a Long Beach pedestrian accident. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred when the man crossed the street in an unmarked crosswalk at the intersection of Park Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway. Firefighters responded to render aid to the man who later died from his injuries. Based on preliminary investigations, the 66-year-old driver was going east on Pacific Coast Highway when he struck the pedestrian in the roadway. The driver remained at the scene.
