Hildeliza Rios, 80, was injured in a San Fernando hit and run crash the morning of Nov. 19. According to a KTLA news report, the 911 call about the hit-and-run at the intersection of North Maclay Avenue and 8th Street came in around 10:30 a.m. Rios was found complaining of pain in the back and legs. Bicyclist Fatally Injured in South Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Crash
A man was killed in a Los Angeles bicycle accident, which officials said, involved a suspected hit and run driver. According to a KTLA news report, the collision occurred the night of Nov. 18 along Main Street just north of 120th Street in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood. Man Arrested in Fatal Pasadena Hit and Run Crash
A 64-year-old man was killed in a Pasadena hit-and-run crash on Nov. 13. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, officials have arrested 20-year-old Alberto Fernandez of Victorville in connection with the crash. The fatal collision occurred near the intersection of Orange Grove Boulevard and Marengo Avenue. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Fernandez was detained several hours after the crash in Monrovia by the California Highway Patrol. Officials have not said what led them to initially detain Fernandez. Continue reading →

Street Racing Possibly Caused Fatal Los Angeles Car Accident
Police are looking into street racing as a possible factor in a car accident in Exposition Park that left one person dead and another in critical condition the morning of Nov. 12. According to a KTLA news report, the fatal crash occurred a little after midnight when the driver of a silver Range Rover was traveling at a high rate of speed south on Figueroa Street near Exposition Boulevard. Teen Driver Killed in Cherry Valley Car Accident
Cody Kolkow, 18, was killed in a car accident on the evening of Nov. 4 in Cherry Valley. According to a news report in The Press-Enterprise, the fatal crash occurred at the intersection of Brookside Avenue and Union Street. California Highway Patrol officials said a 39-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado south on Union Street and stopped at a stop sign at Brookside before proceeding through the intersection.
