Richard Hernandez, 67, was killed in a pedestrian accident in South Los Angeles, which officials said, involved a suspected hit and run driver. According to a City News Service report, Hernandez died at the scene after he was struck by two vehicles early morning on May 20 at Main Street and 47th Place. Josephine Espiritu, 59, was killed in a Long Beach pedestrian accident after two vehicles crashed at a street intersection forcing one to strike her. According to a news report in the Press Telegram, police believe that the May 11th crash was the result of street racing. Chandra Woods, 37, was killed when her car apparently stalled on the Riverside (91) Freeway in Corona and was struck from behind by a truck. According to an NBC news report, Woods died a little later after the crash, which occurred near Smith Avenue. Police are searching for a big rig, which they say, was involved in a fatal hit and run crash in downtown Los Angeles on the morning of May 7. According to a KTLA news report, the crash occurred as the victim was pushing a shopping cart on Seventh Street near South Alameda Street. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the major injury collision occurred early morning on May 3 near the intersection of Lewis Street and El Prado Avenue. Police are looking for a hit and run driver who they say fatally struck a 33-year-old man in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles. According to a KTLA news report, the fatal crash occurred early morning on May 1st as the victim as walking in a crosswalk at the intersection of West 92nd Street and South Western Avenue.
