Roberto Diaz, 16, who was seriously injured in a South Los Angeles hit-and-run crash three months ago, has been released from the hospital. According to KTLA News, the incident occurred Aug. 6 on Maple Avenue near East 37th Street in the Historic South-Central neighborhood of Los Angeles. 6-year-old Boy and Man Killed in Garden Grove Pedestrian Accident
A 6-year-old boy and 60-year-old man were fatally injured in a pedestrian accident after a pickup truck struck them as they crossed an intersection in Garden Grove. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the two pedestrians were at the intersection of Garden Grove Boulevard and Benton Street when they were struck by a pickup truck the night of Oct. 26. Santa Ana Police Looking into Possible Bullying as Factor in 10-year-old Girl’s Suicide
Santa Ana police are investigating whether a 10-year-old girl who apparently killed herself at home was the victim of bullying. According to a KTLA news report, officers responded to the Santa Ana home after the child, Allison Wendel, was discovered dead by her 9-year-old sister the night of Oct. 13. Police said her death appeared to be a suicide and that she did not leave behind a note. Family members said her death came as a shock. Gracie and Edward Contreras, 55, were killed in a West Covina car accident and their 13-year-old son was injured, after a fleeing carjacking suspect crashed into their car Oct. 12. According to a KTLA news report, the couple was on their way to their home with Gracie Contreras’s son when a man fleeing the police crashed into their vehicle. According to a KTLA news report, the crash occurred in the 2500 block of North Fairview Avenue.
