A 74-year-old man suffered critical injuries in a pedestrian accident in Anaheim. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the incident occurred the afternoon of November 4, 2017. A 27-year-old man driving a Jeep Wrangler was turning north onto South Lemon Street from East Orangefair Mall when he struck the pedestrian. The older man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries that were not specified. The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators. A 58-year-old woman was killed in a Huntington Beach pedestrian accident after a vehicle struck her at a street intersection. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal collision was reported the night of October 19, 2017 at the intersection of Goldenwest Street and Tucana Drive. Officials say a driver in a Nissan Rogue was traveling north on Goldenwest Street and struck a pedestrian walking east across the same street.

The driver, a 55-year-old Huntington Beach woman, remained at the scene. The victim was also a local resident. No citations or arrests have been reported and the investigation is ongoing. A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a Laguna Beach car accident after colliding with a vehicle that was making a left turn out of a home. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the incident occurred the morning of October 15, 2017 in the 2900 block of Laguna Canyon Road. A two-car accident in Long Beach that left two people dead may have been caused by street racing, officials said. According to a news report in the Los Angeles Times, the car crash occurred the night of October 14, 2017 in the 600 block of Shoreline Avenue near Queens Way. The collision caused one of the cars to catch fire. A woman, a passenger who was reportedly ejected from one of the vehicles, died when paramedics arrived at the scene.

Katie Evans, 37, was killed in a Santa Clarita car accident involving a suspected DUI driver as she was returning home from the hospital, visiting her premature twins. According to a news report in The Signal, the heartbreaking tragedy occurred the night of October 6, 2017 when a 22-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle, veered into oncoming traffic and struck Evans’s vehicle head on near the intersection of Golden Valley Road and Valley Center Drive. The woman also sideswiped another vehicle, but didn’t cause major injuries to that driver. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Officials expect to file more charges pending an official investigation.

A 67-year-old La Habra man was killed in a car accident in the San Diego area after he lost control of his vehicle, crashed and was ejected. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal crash occurred the night of October 4, 2017 on Montezuma Valley Road near mile marker 13.5 in unincorporated San Diego County.
