A pedestrian has been fatally injured in a Huntington Beach car accident, which officials say, may have been caused by a woman who was driving under the influence. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred the morning of April 27, 2017. Police say officers were called to the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Edinger Avenue after a blue BMW sedan traveling north struck a pedestrian who was on the east side of Beach Boulevard. The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver, identified by the authorities as 34-year-old Anastasia Hull, was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI. A dog attack that was caught on video on Catalina Island left John Brady of Huntington Beach seriously injured and hospitalized. According to a KTLA news report, the incident occurred on when two dogs attacked Brady and his smaller dog. The larger dogs were described as pit bulls. The dog attack occurred on Avalon Pier. Man Killed in Lake Forest Motorcycle Accident
David Ladue, 18, of Rancho Santa Margarita, was killed in a Lake Forest motorcycle accident after he was struck by a left-turning vehicle the night of April 17, 2017. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal crash occurred at the intersection of Trabuco Road and Rimhurst Drive near El Toro Memorial Park. Man Killed in Santa Ana Motorcycle Accident
Armando Vega Andrade, 20, was killed in a Fountain Valley motorcycle accident after he was struck by an SUV that was making a U-turn the night of March 24, 2017. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the SUV was southbound on Brookhurst Street near Heil Avenue when the driver made a U-turn at Heil.
The oncoming motorcycle struck the right side of the SUV. Andrade died at the scene. The SUV’s driver stopped and cooperated with police. No citations or arrests were reported. Five People Injured in Suspected DUI Crash in Los Angeles
Five people were injured in two separate car accidents in Winnetka, which officials say, was caused by a suspected drunk driver. According to a news report in the Los Angeles Daily News, the crashes were reported the night of March 19, 2017 at Hart Street and Oso Avenue and at Oso and Sherman Way. The suspected drunk driver first crashed into several vehicles at the intersection of Hart and Oso. The man then fled the scene and caused a second collision at Oso and Sherman.
Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate two people from a vehicle at the second crash. Three patients had to be transported by advanced life-support ambulances due to the violent nature of the crashes. Another patient sustained serious injuries one had suffered non-life-threatening injuries. It is not clear if the driver was arrested or charged. The investigation is ongoing.

Bicyclist Killed in La Palma Car Accident
A man in his 30s suffered fatal injuries in a bicycle accident after he was struck by a sedan. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the incident occurred when the man was riding his bike along La Palma Avenue just west of Moody Street the night of March 13, 2017. The 18-year-old driver of the sedan stopped and called 911.
It is not clear if the bicyclist was using a crosswalk at the time of the accident. Police don’t believe alcohol or drugs were factors. The female driver was not cited or arrested. Woman and Pet Injured in San Diego Dog Attack
Dawn Fenner, a resident of San Marcos, says she and her pet were injured in a dog attack when they were walking home near Pyramid Lake. According to a 10News.com report, Fenner says an off-leash pit bull charged at her and her dog. The pit bull tried to get a hold of her dog when she put her hands between her dog’s backside and the pit bull’s mouth, trying to protect her pet. Fenner said she was covered in blood.
When Fenner posted her encounter on social media, other neighbors commented saying they had similar encounters with the same dog. One woman wrote she was attacked by the pit bull in late December. She said the dog charged from the yard and attacked her and her dog. Fenner is hoping that her story will help warn her neighbors about the dangerous dog and spark an investigation into the dog’s owner.

Hit-and-Run Driver Injures Pedestrian in Pacific Palisades
Police in Pacific Palisades are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle early morning on March 8, 2017 near Pacific Coast Highway and Sunset Boulevard. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. It is not clear if the pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries. The driver fled the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No description was available for the driver or vehicle.
