According to a KTLA news report, one of the drivers fled the scene. The incident happened near the intersection of Normandie Avenue and West 36th Street. According to a Fox 5 San Diego news report, the incident occurred on the night of April 7 in the Gaslamp District of San Diego. Police say the woman’s Uber driver stopped his sedan in the westbound No. 2 lane at 500 Market Street ahead of a Chevy Suburban SUV parked on the north curb. Three people were injured in what officials say was a DUI crash involving 47-year-old Lori Gallo, the wife of a California cheese magnate, who they say was drunk and speeding at more than 125 mph when she attempted to pass a vehicle on a two-lane road in Merced and sideswiped it.

A mother and her three children, ages 3, 8, and 11, were injured in a truck accident on Highway 101 in Salinas when a semi-truck driver made an illegal U-turn on the highway.
According to a KION news report, the crash occurred on the northbound side of the 101 at Hartnell Road on March 21, an area where U-turns are prohibited for trucks. The three children were airlifted to an area hospital for treatment, and their mother suffered a broken fibula and forearm and was taken to a hospital. All are expected to survive their injuries.
